Fifty-Eight Giardino is an Italian restaurant and bar at 10 Town Street, Farsley. It trades as Fifty Eight Giardino Ltd, incorporated on 18 April 2025 and registered at the same Town Street address, with Ezgi Yalcinkaya as its current director. The kitchen works to hand-rolled pasta and wood-fired pizza, and the restaurant says its head chef trained in traditional trattorias and osterias in Tuscany and Rome. It runs a bottomless Italian brunch from Thursday to Saturday. It opens from noon Tuesday to Sunday and closes on Mondays.

Jackaboos is an indoor soft play centre at Sunny Bank Mills on Town Street, Farsley — the former woollen mill, founded in 1829, where production of fine worsted cloth ended in 2008 and which the Gaunt family has since regenerated as space for independent businesses, artist studios and galleries. Angelisa Walker has been its director since the company was incorporated on 1 July 2005, and the centre says it was set up in June 2006 and named after her son Jack. It runs pre-bookable play sessions on weekdays and private birthday parties at weekends, and says it holds a five-star food hygiene rating. Jigsaw Gyms is a children's play and party venue at 546 Broad Lane, Stanningley, catering for children from birth to eleven years. It trades as Jigsaw Gyms Limited, incorporated on 27 July 2009, with Martyn Timothy Holmes as director since November 2009. The venue is divided by age: a multi-sensory play zone for infants under one, a separate toddler area for one- to three-year-olds, and a large multi-level play structure for children of four and over. Palmer Plants is a plant nursery on Calverley Lane, Farsley, growing and selling trees, shrubs and other plants to the public and to trade customers. It began in 1982 as Palmer Nurseries, supplying Palmer Landscapes and other trade buyers; John and Margaret Palmer later bought land and put up the glasshouses, tunnels and potting shed still in use, and the site opened to the public as Palmer Plants in 1995. The company was incorporated in October 2020 and its directors are Samantha Hall and Margaret Palmer. It says it was set up on the belief that it would not follow other garden centres, keeping the focus on plants, and it runs the Little Leaf Cafe on site. In 2021 it won planning permission for a two-storey building with retail space, a café, a children's play area and a 66-space car park.

Saint Jude is a bar and kitchen at 69 Town Street, Farsley. It was opened in September 2021 by sisters Alex and Cassie Rogerson, who are from Farsley and who had already opened Grumpy's pizzeria at Sunny Bank Mills four years earlier; the two businesses are named after their father and their mother. It serves beer, wine, cocktails and coffee alongside homemade burgers, bagels and doughnuts, with the burger patties, condiments and jams made in the kitchen and the bagels baked each morning in Grumpy's wood-fired oven. There are 36 covers inside and 52 outside across a terrace and side garden. It opens from 9am every day, and describes itself as dog friendly and kid friendly.

The Funky Indian is a family-run bar and restaurant at 116–118 Richardshaw Lane, Stanningley, with two rooms and an outdoor area. It trades as Funky Indian Ltd, incorporated on 22 September 2021, with Syed Shelim Hayder Ali as its sole director. CAMRA records it as serving food with a Panjabi twist. The menu runs from tikka and samosa starters and thali sharing boxes to Panjabi gyros and smash burgers, alongside what it calls Naan'izza — naan pizzas built on a base of masala chips — and desserts including gulab jamun and cheesecakes. It stocks imported Indian beers and does not serve cask ale. It opens on Wednesday to Sunday evenings and closes on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Truman Books is an independent bookshop and café at 95 Town Street, Farsley, opened in spring 2021 by Amanda Truman, who left a twenty-year career in the travel industry to start it. The company was incorporated in September 2020 and she is its sole director. It stocks new releases, older titles and children's books alongside gifts, cards and wrapping paper, orders in books for next-day collection, and serves coffee and homemade cake. Beyond the shelves it runs a storytime session, a book club and a Young Readers' Review Panel. In 2026 the Booksellers Association named it one of twenty Bookshop Champions for Independent Bookshop Week, which that year marked twenty years of the campaign.
