About
The Fruit Stall is an independent greengrocer at 65A Harrogate Road, Chapel Allerton. It began in 2012 as a market stall in Chapel Allerton, run by Richard White, a former journalist, and became a shop two years later; Companies House records The Fruit Stall Limited as incorporated in March 2014 with White as its sole director ever since. When the lease on its first Harrogate Road unit was ended to make way for an Italian delicatessen, the shop moved along the road into the former Simply Cakes premises, reopening at the end of November 2018.
It sells fresh fruit and vegetables with an emphasis on seasonal and local produce, keeps plastic packaging to a minimum, and stocks Christmas trees in season. Listings record a 5-star Google rating from more than 100 reviews.
