An independent cheesemonger on Harrogate Road, opened by Stephen Fleming — who left a 20-year career in corporate IT to sell cheese, and named the shop after the middle names of his two eldest sons. The counter runs to more than 150 handmade farmhouse cheeses, chosen on a simple rule: everything is handmade and liked by every member of the team, with a strong bias towards Yorkshire and British makers. Beyond the counter it runs tastings — from a handful of people to corporate groups of 200 — and a cheese school, with Fleming a certified Academy of Cheese trainer. Its work has been recognised with Best Speciality Cheese Retailer at the 2018 Great British Cheese Awards and Best Retailer (North East) at the 2023 Farm Shop & Deli Awards.

The company now behind it, Haley & Clifford Ltd, was registered in July 2026 with Araz Imani Veghaslou as sole director and shareholder, and is classed at Companies House for specialist food retail, café and takeaway trade. The shop is considerably older than the company: its own website records a Deli of the Year award in 2012 and appearances on BBC Look North the following year. The counters carry Yorkshire and European cheeses, bread baked fresh each day, smoked fish from Yorkshire producers, and jams and chutneys from Raydale Preserves in North Yorkshire, alongside oils, condiments, pasta and grains, cakes, biscuits and chocolates. The café serves breakfast, lunch and coffee, and the business makes sandwiches, takeaway suppers and hampers and takes catering bookings.

METZ Cheesemonger is an independent cheese shop in the Sandsgate building at Sunny Bank Mills, the former worsted mill on Town Street, Farsley, with a shopfront visible from the road. It was opened in November 2024 by Emmanuelle Metz, who is from Paris and had spent more than a decade selling cheese in Yorkshire and France; Aurelie Charles is her fellow director. The counter is stocked with handmade artisan cheese rather than mass-produced, with several varieties matured in-house — among them a stout-washed rind brie, which took the People's Choice award at the Academy of Cheese Affineur of the Year. It reports also winning Best Display Champion and gold awards for cheeseboard and grazing board at the Great Yorkshire Show, and it runs cheese nights with neighbouring Amity Brew Co.
